Firefighters extinguish fire at Warner Robins glass plant

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins Fire Department reported to a fire at the Anchor Glass Container Corporation on Booth Road around 12:52 p.m., Friday.

According to a news release, flames were seen coming from the roof of the building.

The Warner Robins Fire Department joined the plant’s Fire Brigade in extinguishing the fire.

Grease buildup in the chimney vent system was the cause of the fire.

No injuries have been reported. Anchor Glass has continued with normal operations.
