Hooked on Science: Catching your shadow

(41NBC/WMGT) — Science Guy Jason Lindsey shows us how he captured his shadow!

Using a glow in the dark board, Lindsey puts his hand on the board and turns off the lights. The board glows except for where his hand is because his hand is opaque meaning light can’t travel through it.

When Lindsey lifts his hand up he reveals that where the light couldn’t absorb into the board because of his hand, it leaves an imprint in the shape of his hand just like a shadow!
