Two men accused of using fake money at Macon flea market
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men are in jail after investigators say they used fake money at Smiley’s Flea Market.
56-year-old Billy Brown and 61-year-old David Powers are charged with 10 counts of forgery.
Bibb deputies say they found Brown in a car after vendors told them he used fake money to buy an item at one of the booths. Powers was also sitting in the car and a victim told investigators Powers also used fake money to buy items at the flea market.
Brown and Powers each have a bond set at $29,500.
