UPDATE: Body found near B&B Food Mart in Macon identified

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells 41NBC a body was found Tuesday afternoon at 4400 Chambers Road near the B&B Food Mart.

UPDATE: Leon Jones says that the body has been identified as David Alton Bowen of Houston County. He was 35 years old.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –  Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells 41NBC a body was found Tuesday afternoon at 4400 Chambers Road near the B&B Food Mart.

According to Jones, the body belonged to a man in his 30s and was found near a homeless camp. More updates will be posted as information is released.
