Elderly man arrested for growing marijuana

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for growing marijuana at his home.

Deputies responded to a call about marijuana being grown at a home on Wildwood Road in Fort Valley, Saturday. Investigators found 22 marijuana plants, a marijuana grinder and a book titled “Indoor Marijuana Horticulture”.

Homeowner Edward Leandro Salinas was arrested and charged with 22 counts of cultivating marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of drug related objects, and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

Bond has been denied for Salinas.
