Another new coach in charge at Twiggs County
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – As the 2015 season gets ready to begin, there will be a new man on the sidelines for the Twiggs County Cobras. That man will be Ashley Harden, who takes over from Dexter Copeland. He’ll have some work to do if he hopes his new team can overcome the 1-9 record they finished with a year ago.
Coach Harden will inherit an offense that only averaged 21.7 points a game. His quarterback will be Calvin Stevens, who Harden knows will need to be leaned on if his team is going to be successful.
Defensively, the Cobras need a lot of work coming off of a year in which they allowed nearly 40 points a game. Since it’s out with the old and in with the new, Coach Harden will be implementing a new defensive scheme for his team this season.
The first game for Twiggs County will be on September 4th, at East Laurens.
