Bank bag stolen from Macon Family Dollar store employee

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a suspect who robbed a Family Dollar store employee.

It happened at the Family Dollar store at 3002 Shurling Drive, just before 8:00 this morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, the employee was about to get in a vehicle to go to the bank, when the robber struck. The suspect grabbed the bank bag, which included the store deposits, and ran away. The employee wasn’t injured.

The sheriff’s office has not been able to identify the suspect, but investigators say he was wearing a mask, dark sweat suit, and black shoes. If you have any information, call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
