A couple days with higher rain chances before dry weather settles in the area this week
Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Today and tomorrow deliver higher rain chances compared to the weekend. The first half of the day looks quiet, though. Lots of sun, temperatures rise to around 87 by noon. Then you can expect increasing cloud cover as a line of storms moves into Middle Georgia this afternoon. Notice on the picture at the top of the page that many of you won’t see rain in the middle of the afternoon; the storms will be more widespread late afternoon/early evening as the rain pushes from north to south. There’s a marginal chance of severe weather today.
Tomorrow, more widespread rain starting earlier in the afternoon and affecting more areas. Once again, a marginal chance of severe storms exists, but nothing major. Starting Wednesday, a dry air mass settles into the region, giving us lower rain chances and more sun. However, temperatures will be seasonably hot.
