New technology helps blind musicians produce
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – New technology is making the music editing process easier for visually impaired musicians.
A technology team at Goldsmiths University in London, is working to make music more accessible for the blind. The haptic control surface, a new form of technology, was installed at Shadow Sound Studio in downtown Macon. The device allows blind musicians to edit wave forms using hands instead of eyes.
Studio 41 host, Joey Stuckey, says he is still learning how to use the device and eventually he will be able to move as quickly as those who can see.
