Juliette citizens working to save dam

JULIETTE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Some residents in Juliette are working to save the city’s dam.

According to members of the group “Friends of Juliette Dam,” the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is threatening to close the dam because fish are unable to swim upstream.

The group needs 300,000 names on its petition to save the dam, which was featured in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes, along with the Whistle Stop Cafe.
