Milledgeville Police arrest two suspects in Flash Foods armed robbery
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Milledgeville Police arrested two men that are accused of holding up a convenience store at gunpoint.
Investigators say Hitchcock was armed with a gun and Holsey had a crowbar. Police believe the suspects staked out the convenience store before they robbed it.
They were arrested Wednesday.
Aaron Hitchcock and Hakeem Holsey are charged with armed robbery of the Flash Foods convenience store on Vinson Highway. It happened on April 7, around 11:30 p.m.
Investigators say Hitchcock was armed with a gun and Holsey had a crowbar. Police believe the suspects staked out the convenience store before they robbed it.
They were arrested Wednesday.
Police called Hitchcock into police headquarters for questioning. Afterwards, he was taken into custody. Holsey was arrested at his home.
Authorities are thanking residents for coming forward with tips which led to the armed robbery arrest.
“We are ecstatic about it,” said Milledgeville Police Detective Scott Goodwin. “We were happy that we got the information. We were able to follow up on these leads and get these violent people off the street.”
