Brothers arrested, charged for robbing High Falls store

HIGH FALLS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two brothers are facing multiple armed robbery charges after the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says they robbed a Dollar General Store in High Falls.

Investigators say it happened around 2 p.m. A Department of Natural Resources Ranger and his K-9 partner responded to the scene. Witnesses say one of the suspects was armed with a shot gun and they ran to a nearby wooded area.

During the robbery, the suspects took cellphones from customers and $300 from the store.

Monroe County sheriff’s deputies along with deputies from Lamar County and Butts County surrounded the area and a DNR canine tracking unit searched for the suspects.

While deputies were searching, they received a tip that the suspects were at a home on High Falls Road.

Authorities arrested 18-year-old D’Andre Jackson of Jackson and 21-year-old Marvin Mann of Atlanta.

Jackson and Mann are charged with multiple counts of armed robbery and one county of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
