Bibb deputies searching for suspect in Macon Garden apartments fatal shooting

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find a suspect wanted in connection to a fatal West Macon shooting.

Authorities are looking for 28-year-old Steven Quintrell Howard. Warrants were signed on Howard for giving false statements and participation in criminal street gang activity in connection to the shooting at the Macon Garden Apartments on March 28.

According to 41NBC’s past reports, two men were on the front porch of one of the buildings when a white SUV pulled into the parking lots. The people inside the vehicle started shooting at the men and then drove away.

Investigators say 19-year-old Tavarous Veal was shot in the left shoulder and died at the hospital. Twenty-three year-old Terry Brown was shot in the legs.
