Local businesswoman offers a lovely taste of British food and culture

CENTERVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — It’s always interesting reading how the U.S. gained its independence from England considering how close our two countries are now. Only Canada can really make an argument that they have as good of a relationship with the U.S. as the UK does.

And we are very thankful to have such a great friend in the world!

That’s why Daybreak decided to share National British Pie Week with our Middle Georgia viewers and share some British culture and food. Local businesswoman Jan Francis, who owns the British Pantry and Tea Room in Centerville, joined us live and cooked a few meals for us.

The food? Triple berry pie, cottage (or shepherd’s) pie, and a couple pasties. Mmmm.
