Bibb deputies investigating shooting at suspected drug apartment
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb deputies are investigating a shooting that left one person injured.
According to the sheriff’s office, it happened at an apartment on Goodwin Drive near the Ell Street intersection around 5:15 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say 39-year-old Deaze Vashone Jackson of Macon was shot in the leg as he was leaving an apartment that was allegedly being used to sell drugs.
Authorities are still investigating what led up to the shooting.
Jackson was sent to the hospital and is listed in stable condition. No other injures were reported.
Investigators are canvassing the area and interviewing possible witnesses.
