Macon man arrested after failed robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who allegedly attempted to rob a Macon restaurant

According to a news release, an armed suspect entered the Subway located at  Eisenhower Parkway around 9:30 p.m., Monday, demanding money.

The clerk ran to the back of the store and locked herself in the freezer.

Deputies search the area once they arrived on the scene. The investigation led to the arrest of 54-year-old Oscar Eugene Pitts.

He’s in the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony and violating probation.
