Bibb deputies: 16-year-old arrested for shooting two teens in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WGMT) – A 16-year-old was arrested for shooting two teenagers Friday night, that’s according to the Bibb Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says the teenager is charged with aggravated assault and participation of criminal street gang activity. The teen could face more charges.

The shooting happened on Lawton Avenue on Friday, December 5 around 9:55 p.m. Authorities say 18-year-old Ladarius Washington was shot in the back of the left leg and 17-year-old Kenyatta Jones was shot in the stomach. Both men were taken to a hospital for treatment and have been released.

The teen arrested in connection with the shooting was turned over to the juvenile authorities at the Youth Detention Center.
