Five-month-old boy found unresponsive in Macon home

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an infant.

The infant’s father found the five-month-old boy unresponsive at a home of Lindwood Drive around noon Thursday. He was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

41NBC talked to a neighbor who spoke with investigators.

“When they got here the baby was already blue in the face. I guess one of the relatives, or whoever tried to perform CPR, but he [an investigator] said they got here and the baby was already blue and it didn’t look to good,” Sharod Fuller said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday. The Bibb County Coroner’s Office does not suspect foul play.

This incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500
