Weekend shooting leaves one man injured

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 20-year-old man is in stable condition after he was shot Friday.

     Tiondre Galloway told Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies he was walking in the 1500 block of Cedar Avenue, when he heard gunshots and began running.

     He was shot in his left leg near a business on Pio Nono Avenue and Montpelier Avenue in Macon.  A passerby drove Galloway to Navicent Health, according to a Bibb County Sheriff news release.

“He (Galloway) gave us two different locations of where the incident took place, one was on Cedar Avenue the other on Pio Nono Avenue and Montpelier Avenue in Macon,” said Bibb County Sheriff Lt Randy Gonzalez in an interview Saturday.. “Investigators are still looking into this shooting incident and will be interviewing the victim again.”

     Investigators met with Galloway at the hospital, 10:30 p.m., Friday. They were responding to “a person shot call.”
