Cherry Blossom Festival Street Party Canceled

In light of current weather conditions and forecasted weather for tonight Mayor Robert Reichert has canceled this evening’s Cherry Blossom Festival Street Party.

For those who purchased advanced tickets to the Street Party, online ticket purchases will be credited automatically. Those who purchased using their credit cards may call Mercer Ticket Sales Monday beginning at 10 a.m. for refund at (478) 301-5470. Those paying with checks or cash must present ticket in person for refund at Mercer Ticket Sales office. All refunds must be requested by April 8th.

The severe thunderstorms that have moved through the Macon area have downed power lines and disrupted traffic in the City of Macon, as well as resulted in tornado warnings and hail. For the safety and welfare of the general public and for the need to commit public safety personnel to this pressing weather situation the street party has been canceled.
