Vision Airlines Cancels Macon Service

Vision Airlines announced back in January it would offer flights twice a week to Destin, Florida, but according to Middle Georgia Regional Airport Manager, Scott Coffman, the·carrier cancelled the service last week because of·the lack of ticket sales.

Clay Meek, Director of Sales and Marketing with Vision Airlines, says the ticket sales were, “dramatically lower than any other airport.” He also says, the airline would have not been able to support itself financially if it stayed at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport. ·

The first flight was expected to take off on March 25th. Vision Airlines recently added 17 new direct flights to Northwest Florida, and also cancelled service from Birmingham, Alabama.

People who did buy tickets received flight vouchers out of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
