Central Fellowship Christian Academy Girl’s Softball team gears up for State Championship
They’re headed to the GICAA State Championship on Saturday.
With a record of 20 and 3, they’ve broke the school softball record.
But what will it take to win the championship?
“Little things from how we run the bases, to being able to bunt and field the ball well,” explained Head Coach Michael McLendon.
Corbin Ingle is the center fielder and she’s been on the team for 6 years. As a senior, this State title means everything to her.
“We’ve never really made it this far and all the girls on this team, they just have so much heart. I’m really proud of them,” explained Ingle.
She adds this is the best team she’s ever played on.
The girls believe they’re prepared to take down Thomas Jefferson Academy on Saturday. They said they won’t come home without a win.
The team will travel to Louisville, Georgia to take on the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars. The State Championship is a best of three series. All three games will be played on Saturday.
