State names new hospital administrator for Cook Building at Central State

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities appointed a new hospital administrator at the Payton B. Cook Building on the campus of Central State Hospital.

According to a news release from the agency, Susan Trueblood will begin her new position immediately.

DBHDD says Trueblood has a long history of working with people who have disabilities. She most recently served as the executive director of the Albany Advocacy Resource Center.

“I really enjoy forensic work and my background and experience are a great fit for this job,” Trueblood said in a statement. “I jumped at the chance to come to work in the Cook Building. I look forward to working with the team to make this facility a center of excellence for forensic operations.”
