State recognition for two Macon-Bibb Officials

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb Solid Waste Director was named to the Georgia Recycling Coalition Board of Directors. 

The new board member, Kevin Barkley, said his primary goal with this new statewide position is to create a recycling facility for Middle Georgia. 

The Georgia Main Street Program named Tess Harper its 2014 Downtown Board Member of the Year. 

Harper was nominated for the award by a fellow board member.

She has been a Main Street Board member for 2 years and prior to that, she was the organization’s promotions chair.
