Mayor Reichert Kicks Off Campaign for Second Term

With family and friends gathered in support, Macon Mayor Robert Reichert announced today that he will run for a second term.

Campaigning on the theme “get it together”, Reichert says he wants more unity with city leaders and needs the next four years to accomplish his plan.

Reichert’s goals include: continuing to work on the economic development of the city, creating cohesiveness with city leaders and improving education is also a top priority.

“We want to lend all the support that we can to the Bibb County Board of Education and to improve our public school system. Because the public school system is an integral part of a successful, prosperous community,” said Reichert.

Reichert will be running against former Mayor C. Jack Ellis and Bibb County Fireman, Paul Bronson. The primary election will be held July 19.
