Men Who Killed Bibb DA Up for Parole

The men who killed a Middle Georgia District Attorney more than three decades ago may get out of jail. State officials say two men sentenced to life in prison for killing Bibb County DA Don Thompson in 1980 are being considered for parole.

Jimmy Lee Horton and Pless Brown Jr. gunned down Thompson when he surprised the men during a burglary at a friend’s apartment.

Both men have been considered for parole before.
