Hostage Situation in Monroe County

A Monroe County man, is behind bars this morning, after holding his wife and another man hostage.

Karl Cook called Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies to the Cottages at Juliette Saturday morning. Cook told officers that, 69 year old Harry Fargason , came into his R-V and found his wife, Vivian Fargason inside. Harry Fargason then held Vivian Fargason and Karl Cook, at gun point for 5 to 10 minutes.

After an altercation with Mrs. Fargason, Harry fired one shot and left the campground. No one was injured. Harry Fargason was arrested a short time later at his home. Fargason is charged with false imprisonment and aggravated assault. This incident is still under investigation.
