15-Year-Old Ga. Student Facing Weapons Charge
MACON, Ga. – School officials in Bibb County say a
15-year-old student has been suspended and charged with possessing a weapon and marijuana on school grounds.
Chris Floore, a spokesman for the Bibb County school system,
says the student at Appling Middle School was taken to the
principal’s office Thursday morning after he became verbally
abusive with a teacher in the school cafeteria.
Floore says campus police searched his book bag and found an
unloaded handgun, bullets and a small amount of marijuana.
Floore says the teen has been suspended from school pending a
hearing.
