Weather Forecast for June 9th, 2014

Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Hot! Although it’s June, so we’re used to that.  However, at this time of the month, 89 is the average high, and we’re predicting a high this afternoon at around 94.  Rain chances increase this afternoon again, mainly between 3 and 5, with a chance for isolated strong to severe storms in the area which could pack a lot of lightning.  The fortunate news is the rainfall won’t be widespread, so many of you won’t be affected at all.  However, as always, keep the chance for pop-up storms — particularly an isolated severe storm — in the back of your head, especially if you have any afternoon plans.

Rainfall chances continue this week, with an increased chance for rain by Wednesday and Thursday.
