Vigil scheduled for 5-year-old murder victim

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Residents up in Forsyth are remembering a little girl who was killed last week. 

A candlelight vigil is scheduled for 5-year-old Heaven Woods.      

She was found unconscious at a home on Brookwood Drive last Tuesday. 

Her mother, 33-year-old Amanda Hendrickson and her boyfriend Roderick Buckner are in the Monroe County jail. 

Both are charged with 1st degree cruelty to children. 

The vigil is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the courthouse square in Forsyth. 

The public is invited to attend.
