Milledgeville Cab Driver Injured in Armed Robbery

A cab driver was injured during an armed robbery in Milledgeville this morning.

23-year old Jessica Owens was driving a man to the Autozone around 12:30 am. The suspect tried to steal Owens’ purse when she pulled out a hunting knife. He then took the knife and cut Owens before grabbing her purse and running away.

Owens was taken to the Oconee Regional Medical Center where she was released early this morning.
