Macon-Bibb deputies make arrest after Payne City shooting

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb County deputies arrested two males after a shooting incident occurred in Payne City on Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. 

According to a news release, two groups of males were shooting at each other on the 100 block of Gardner Street.

When deputies arrived to the scene, 21-year-old Travon Quantez Ridley was spotted and arrested. Ridley had a warrant out for his arrest on an unrelated charge of criminal trepass. Deputies also found gun on him during the incident.

Later, a witness gave a description of a vehicle leaving the scene of the crime. Shortly after, the same vehicle was located at Roff Avenue and Hillcrest Industrial Boulevard. 

Deputies took custody of the individuals in the car. A 16-year-old male was arrested for having of a gun, and charged with possession of a firearm by an underage person.

No one was injured during this incident.
