Macon Co. Couple Deaths Ruled Murder/Suicide

The deaths of a Macon County couple were ruled a murder / suicide today.

According to Macon County Coroner, Grover Barfield,
60-year-old Corine Riley shot her former husband, 71-year-old Colonel Riley and then turned the gun on herself Friday afternoon.

Their bodies were found in the garage area of a house at 3554 Reuben Odom Rd. in Oglethorpe, GA.

The GBI and Macon County Sheriff’s department continue to investigate the crime.

The couple was divorced and were not living together.
