Georgia Military College to open new campus in Fayetteville

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Military College is getting bigger.

School leaders announced Friday they are opening a new campus in Fayetteville. GMC President Lt. Gen. William Caldwell says the school is working with city leaders to bring GMC to town. He adds this is a great opportunity to grow.

“It really is a growing area that is going to have a real identified need for different kinds of educational facilities and we’re excited to be a part of that,” Caldwell said.

Officials hope to start construction on the school this summer. Classes are expected to start in August 2015.
