CGTC Lady Titans Win 1st Playoff Game In School History
MACON, Georgia (CGTC RELEASE) – The CGTC Lady Titans won the schools first playoff game in history tonight over Albany Tech 63-60. The Titans led the entire game, out rebounding Albany Tech 50-38. GCAA All Conference players, Ta’Kierra Gibbs (16 points / 13 rebounds) and Emili Russ (15 points & 11 rebounds) each had double doubles leading CGTC to a tough victory.
Albany Tech made a late run with, about 3 minutes left in the game, hitting 3-three pointers on three straight possessions. Led by Tajai Pearson’s 23 points and 9 rebounds, the Lady Titans of Albany had the home crowd concerned at the Titans Arena. But CGTC made 6 of 7 free throws late that sealed Coach Jamie Brooks first playoff coaching victory.
