Major Storm Hits Dublin, Major Damage Reported

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Officials are still assessing how much damage Dublin has suffered after a major thunderstorm rolled across the area.

Laurens County EMA Director Don Bryant says a tornado touched down in North Dublin, and he has received multiple calls about damage to different areas.

Laurens County Administrator Brian Rogers says heavy damage has been reported around the Holly Hills area and around Thundering Springs Road north of Dublin.

Bryant said he has received only one minor injury call so far.

Crews are still working to assess the damage.
