Bibb County Deputies Investigate Toddler’s Death

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death of a 17-month-old girl, which happened Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say the father and child were visiting family on North Pierce Circle.

According to a news release, the father stated the child was in another room playing with other children when he heard a loud noise.

He rushed into the room where his daughter was to find a TV and the dresser that the TV was placed on had fallen onto his daughter.

The dad took his daughter to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy has been requested by the Coroner Leon Jones.

The incident is currently under investigation.
