2nd Annual Special Olympics Disc Golf Benefit Set for March 15 at Claystone Park

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Disc golf enthusiasts have a chance to play the sport they love and give back to a good cause at the same time.

On March 15 at Claystone Park on Lake Tobesofkee, the Jones Zen 4 Chains Disc Golf Club will hold a charity disc golf tournament at the park’s disc golf course. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Special Olympics Sailing Program, which meets at the park.

The group is looking for players, spectators and hole sponsors.  The cost to sponsor a hole is $50.  That includes your logo or information on a tee sign as well as entry into the tournament.

This is the second year the group has held the event.  In 2013, it raised $2,000, and the group has increased its goal this year to $5,000.
