Two Women Arrested for Apparently Giving Contraband to Inmates at Telfair State Prison

HELENA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two women are arrested after guards at Telfair State prison noticed suspicious activity on the eastside of building Sunday evening.

According to a post on the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office facebook page, both 51-year-old Maria Lynne Terrell and 26-year-old Vila Nounay were charged with numerous offenses related to driving and drug violations and giving contrband to inmates.

Authorities found about 50 grams of suspected crystal meth and over $4100 after searching the suspects’ vehicle.

The two women had drivers license’s from Chatanooga, TN.
