Peach County High School Recognizes STAR Student
Deanna Smith of Peach County High School can officially boast she is a Star student.
The senior posted a combined 1820 on her S.A.T. scores, the highest out of everyone in her class. Because of her outstanding achievement, Smith was awarded a plaque with her name on it, plus the name recognition of being a STAR student.
Smith will be attending Mercer University in the fall, where she plans to double major in History and Business Administration.
The STAR senior says she didn’t even know anything about the award until one of her friends told her about it.
Smith also says while she never expected to be honored with the award, she doesn’t mind getting congratulations from people she doesn’t even know at school when she walks down the hallways.
