Byron Woman Dies After Collision With Gas Tanker

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, a Byron woman was killed after she crashed into a gas tanker truck.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones pronounced 38-year-old Brandi Sorrow dead at the Medical Center of Central Georgia at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hartley Bridge Road and Oakview Club Drive in Macon around 5:30 p.m.

Sorrow was driving a 2004 Pointiac Grand Am when she hit a Fuel South eighteen wheeler.

As of 11 p.m, the accident had been cleared.
