Historic Macon Names New Executive Director
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Historic Macon Foundation has officially named Ethiel Garlington as its new executive director.
Garlington plans to start on March 10th. He’s replacing Josh Rogers who’s moving to NewTown Macon in April.
Garlington is relocating to Macon from his native home of East Tennessee.
Since 2008, he’s served as the Director of Preservation Field Services for Knox Heritage. During his time there, he also founded the East Tennessee Preservation Alliance.
Garlington said he is honored and excited to take on the new role. He’s moving to Macon with his wife, Michelle.
“Historic Macon Foundation is one of the nation’s leading preservation organizations and it’s an honor to serve as the next Executive Director,” said Garlington, “Michelle and I couldn’t be more excited about moving back to Georgia and playing an integral role in the continued renaissance of Downtown Macon and the unparalleled architectural gems.”
