Knights Split Doubleheader, Play 2 More Sunday

COCHRAN, Georgia (MGSC RELEASE) – Middle Georgia State baseball traveled to take on USC-Lancaster Saturday and Sunday. The Knights lost game 1 on Saturday by a score of 9-8 as after blowing a 3 run lead in the 7th. Justin Flores took the loss giving up all 4 but tough breaks such as a double play ball hitting the umpire and ending up a single did in the Knights in game 1. Ryan Lawless was a bright spot in the game hitting 2 home runs and driving in 6 runs.

Game 2 had a better result as Caleb Weaver picked up the win and Will Jones a save. The Knights won 8-3 behind home runs from Chris Hojas and back to back from Jamaal Cummings and Kent Rollins.
