Macon Hit and Run Incident Under Investigation

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff Office is investigating a hit and run incident that happened on Gray Highway Saturday evening.

According to witness statements, 48-year-old Willie Cartilage crossed over Gray Highway from Graham Road wearing dark colored clothing when a vehicle hit him.

The driver fled the scene before deputies had a chance to arrive.

Cartilage was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia, and listed under stable condition.

Police are still investigating the incident.
