Lizella Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault

LIZELLA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Lizella man is behind bars after Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies say he fired shots at another man.

20-year-old Tevin Sams is charged with aggravated assault. The Bibb Sheriff’s Office says it all started Monday night around 11:15 when his girlfriend’s mom got into an argument with her boyfriend, 42-year-old Matiuanna Johnson over Sams. Johnson left the home on Phelps Drive and that’s when deputies say Sams fired several shots at Johnson’s car, hitting him once. Johnson drove to an address on Mary Drive in Macon, where paramedics later treated him.

Investigators arrested Johnson on an outstanding warrant. Both Sams and Johnson are booked in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
