Governments Reopen Across Middle Georgia
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Governments across Middle Georgia are reopening after the icy weather the area has seen in the last few days.
In Bibb County, the Washington Memorial Library and all branches of the Macon-Bibb County
Public Libraries plan to open from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Thursday.
In Houston County, the county government as well as the Perry, Warner Robins, and Byron city governments will be opening Thursday at noon.
In Jones County, county offices will open Thursday at 1 p.m. if the weather allows. The Jones County Work Session on Wednesday will still be held at the Government Center at 6 p.m. until further notice.
In Baldwin County, the County Courthouse and all other county government offices will be opening Thursday at 10 a.m. Employees will need to report at 10 a.m. Baldwin County Transit will resume operation at noon Thursday as well.
In Monroe County, the county government will open Thursday at noon. The Forsyth city government will open at 9 a.m.
In Crawford County, the county government will open at noon Thursday.
In Peach County, the monthly School Board Study Session originally rescheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. is cancelled. Officials are still in discussion about when to open county and city governments.
