GC Softball Team Announces February Prospect Camp
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – The Georgia College softball team has announced a prospect camp for high-school sophomore and junior student-athletes slated for Monday, Feb. 23 from 1-5 p.m. The GC softball coaching staff will offer instruction in every aspect of the game, with registration is limited to the first 40 applications received.
The Georgia College softball coaching staff is led by 2013 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Coach of the Year Jamie Grodecki. The purpose of the camp is two-fold. It is an opportunity for student athletes of the classes of 2015 and 2016 to improve their individual skill-level and an opportunity for the GC coaches to view talent. Perspective student-athletes will also have an opportunity to see the GC campus and network with softball coaches and faculty. In addition to the individual instruction, applicants will also have an opportunity to showcase their talent during a scrimmage.
The Bobcat Blast Tournament opens the season with a pair of home games against the University of West Alabama on Saturday, Feb. 1 starting at 11 a.m.
