2 Men Arrested in Connection with Byron Auto Scam

BYRON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After only 24 hours, the Byron Police Department has two men behind bars for a scam they had going for months.

Robert Crow and his father Timothy Crow are both charged with theft by deception. The two allegedly convinced elderly drivers, and tourists that they needed a repair on their cars, charging them up to $100 dollars each.

Byron Police have been investigating this case since November, and say victims are in Macon and in Perry as well.

Police say if you or anyone you know has been targeted by these men, contact your local law enforcement agency as soon as possible.
