UPDATE: Bibb Sheriff’s Deputies Investigate Body Found in Pleasant Hill

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a body was found in a car in the Pleasant Hill neighborhood early Monday morning.

Deputies say the body of 33-year-old Marcus Gainey was found in the back seat of a car around 6 a.m. on Pursley Street. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells 41NBC he was out with friends last night and his body was found unresponsive.

Investigators say there are no obvious signs of foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday and will determine the cause of death.
