Lizella Man Dies in West Bibb Car Accident

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Lizella man died Monday afternoon in a car accident in West Bibb county.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, it happened on Columbus Road near the Heath Road intersection around 1:26.

97-year-old Lenzy Reid was driving west on Columbus when his Buick crossed the center line, and hit a Pontiac Grand Am. 21-year-old Kaela Cornelius was driving the Pontiac.

Both were taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones told 41NBC Reid was pronounced dead in the emergency room. Cornelius is in stable condition.
